Role of business analyst in an agile world
The AgileBA® syllabus and exams are based on the AgileBA Handbook (published by DSDM). The Handbook offers the first comprehensive set of guidance, framework and practices for the business analyst working on an agile project.
Training and certification has been designed to give the Business Analyst the skills needed to successfully gather, analyse, validate and champion the requirements throughout an Agile project. It also gives context to the Agile Business Analyst role beyond the individual project, in relation to organizational mission and strategy, providing additional depth and guidance for business analysis in an agile context.
AgileBA® guidance, training and certification are designed to benefit a wide range of roles including:

The exams are online. The trainer will invigilate, and we will provide the exam slots (weekdays, during office hours) to choose from on the last day of the course. If a candidate fails an exam, a resit fee is to be paid, and our trainers will give a free feedback and recap session.
The exam assumes you have no experience, so if you have experience it will be less challenging however we’ve seen high pass rates over the last year. If you don’t pass the exam then you’re able to retake it straight away. You can retake the exam as many times as you need to, and we’re always here to offer extra support to anyone that needs it. We pride ourselves on our high pass rate, and for whatever the reason you didn’t pass, we’ll make sure that you do the second time! The best way to ensure you pass is to follow our trainers advice and ask as many questions in class. Unlike other providers we keep our courses small in size so there is plenty of time for clarifications and to understand the theory.
APMG foundation examinations can be marked on location after the exam, but this is down to the discretion of the invigilator at the time. Practitioner and re-registration answer booklets are marked at APMG-International offices and results released soon after. Your result will be sent to us approximately 7-10 days after your exam date. We will notify you of your results. If you did not take your exam through an ATO, your results will be sent directly to you via the relevant APMG International office approximately 7-10 days after the date of your exam.
There are no prerequisites for the foundation examinations. However, candidates must achieve a pass at foundation level before completing the practitioner examination.
Yes, both the Foundation and Practitioner exam is included in the course price. The Foundation Exam is a closed-book multiple choice exam with 50 questions per paper. The pass mark is 50% and the length of the exam is 40 minutes. The Practitioner Exam is an open-book, complex multiple choice exam. There are 4 questions per paper with a pass mark of 50%. Many delegates report increased confidence in their skills after the training. We believe the importance of confidence is often underrated in organisations. The truth is to progress your career in the right direction you need confidence. It is no surprise many of our learners report an increase in confidence and job satisfaction. Moreover, the certification gives you recognition and if you are already working as an IT professional it will formalise your knowledge. As a result your employers, stakeholders or clients will trust you that you can deliver quality work in an efficient way.
